that girl was a tomboy
she chose those flip flops over those stiletto heels
she misses those blushes which she never feels
a backpack was her thing and not that muff
she wasn't a member of that bitch club, as she didn't know how to bluff
her hair was messy hiding in her hood
instead of combing her barbie she played in the woods
kohl never blackened her eyes
but it was the soot blackening her hands
she cut threw her long tresses
to avoid wearing that head band
she went hither thither in search of smooth stones
and always got scolded for those scratches and broken bones
people wandered what she'll turn out to be one day
forgetting the fact that, that being a tomboy she was happy and gay
not liked for being bold
people wanted her to be coy
over looking the fact that, that girl as tomboy
the romp in her never over powered that pretty li'l girl inside
cos every night she whispered her paladin to her side
she looked at those twinkling stars floating in her bowl
and wished them to shine over her head till the hooting of the owl
she never wished for a doll to dress her up or dance
but sight of every armored knight made her heart prance
she toppled into those puddles, kicked the rocks hard
to hide her yearning it was just a facade
she hadn't had a skirt,
neither clean nor muffled with dirt
but she wore denim butch
as she never cared much
cos that girl was a tomboy happy as such
she misses those blushes which she never feels
a backpack was her thing and not that muff
