In Conversation with Gora, Tagore's Gora!

It was in January 2011, while reading The Home And The World, that I first came across Tagore's Gora. It was just a slight mention of the book in the former's introduction, but it was then and there that I knew that I had to read this text anyhow. Not just Tagore but many other Bengali authors have always drew me towards Bengal and its culture, Tagore has been one of them. Since 2011, with a longing in my heart to read this text it was only in January 2016 that I managed to buy this book. Before this I had been trying to find and locate anyone that I could with this book so that I could borrow this or track a free PDF online (reading a book not part of their syllabus can be quite straining on a student's pocket). But finally one lucky day I managed to convince my friends to lend me some money and have me buy this book; finding this book in flesh and bones at the World Book Fair had all those longings and desires rush through my veins.
Though it's been four months since I bought this book, but it was only three days back that I could muster enough courage to pick this book up. I was afraid if this book might end up joining the lot of the books that I have picked up time and again but failed to finish them, books that draw me towards themselves but couldn't hold me for too long to have me finish reading them. With hoards of apprehensions and fear I have managed to pick this up and so far it has been able to maintain my nascent spirits. Lets see how this rendezvous goes with Gora!
