Life is like a river...

Life is like a river
you never touch the same water again
you never get the same moment again
never again
with 2017 coming to an end and me looking back at it
what a year it has been
with so many new chapters beginning
and with so many old ones coming to an end.

Few long due closures and few fresh new beginnings
A job, finally
two different places
Those old friends and bonds
more strengthened.
And so many more new friendships.
Another farewell gone by
gearing up for another one.
Giving up on that admission
Pursuing another one.

This year has been like this river
Every drop of water touching me differently
And then leaving me never to be felt again

And now another year at my doorstep
knocking with excitement
With so many water drops to drench me like never before
And then leaving me for another part of the river to stroke me.
